The malfilé technique is carried out directly onto the yarn before it is woven. The result of the special process gives the yarn an uneven texture that appears as a slub-effect when woven, which is further enhanced by the linen component. The combination of cotton and linen results in a lightweight yarn, that is both fresh and breathable.
